Friday Night in NYC

Yesterday, my friend Jess and I headed into NYC to hear one of our favorite female singers. You maybe remember Jennifer Knapp. She was a popular contemporary Christian artist several years ago. She has not toured or recorded anything new in over 7 years, so we were shocked and excited to hear that she was not only recording again, but was also going on tour and her first show was going to be close to home! Jess surprised me with tickets for my birthday and plans were made. Would she still be as good as she once was? Would we like the new music she was working on? She did not disappoint. Her voice was amazing (I will even admit to goose bumps and a few tears), she sang several of her previously recorded and much loved songs, and we were able to hear a bit of what she will have coming out later this year. The only complaint was that our time to listen to her sing passed by entirely too quickly. Thanks again for the gift Jess!!! We will definitely remember that experience!
