Goodness Snakes Alive

We had a small snake family sunning themselves next to our house. All of the kids enjoyed watching them, but Kate was especially enamored. I, on the other hand, kept my distance.

Hopscotch

Ahhh, the memories. I absolutely loved playing hopscotch as a kid and had so much fun watching Isabelle enjoy it the other day. She was quite pleased at how much she has improved from last year. :) She started out on the hopscotch that I drew for her, then after some thinking decided to draw one for herself. It was a bit smaller than the original one. :)

First Day Of Spring

We were blessed to have absolutely beautiful weather in Connecticut on the first official day of Spring. I couldn't resist pulling out the camera and capturing some pictures of the kids on this beautiful day. We made our first trip to the park, did some work in the yard, rode bikes, pulled out the remote control car and did some "building" in the driveway. We were more than happy to welcome the warm weather.

She was a bit afraid of the swings last year, but absolutely loved them this year.

I am daily amazed at the wonderful big brother Isaac is. His sisters are truly blessed to have him.

After about 5 minutes of work, Isabelle became amazed at a small bug on her finger. She then became dismayed at over how dirty her hands already were. She is truly such a girl. :) Fortunately, she got over the dirty hands fairly quickly and dove back in.

Kate's 2nd Birthday

Kate turned 2 on March 27th. We decided to do a family party for her this year and celebrated during the afternoon and evening of the 28th. We decorated and ate cupcakes and cake, had a video chat with my sister and her children, did some finger painting, played with play doh, and enjoyed Kate's birthday gifts. Thanks to friends and family who sent birthday wishes and gifts to help make her day extra special!!
