Nothing Like Cousins

Yesterday, we went and picked up one of my sister's three oldest children. They are going to be with us for a week while she spends time with her sweet little boy that was born on July 11th. Hopefully she gets a little rest. :) I know even though she is enjoying this time she misses her other little ones, so I thought I would give her a little peek into how we spent our day. Enjoy sis!!! Things are going great and we are having lots of fun.

Morning Snack Time (beautiful weather, goldfish and Happy Birthday hats...what could be better :))

Everyone enjoyed a little time on the swings.

After swinging and sliding we headed to the driveway for bikes and chalk.

"Look how fast we can run!!!"

We get to use markers at Aunt Jen's. :)

When the little ones were getting hot and wanted to come in to color, the other three became super secret spies.

I had a great story read to me while I made lunch.

Playmobil...with winter hats of course.

Thank goodness for the oldest cousin keeping hungry bellies distracted while dinner was being prepared.

Bedtime stories, songs with Uncle Dean and a little dancing to end the night.

Looking forward to another day tomorrow!!

Sweet Sleep

The other day I slowly swung the door open to check on Kate while she was napping. She had been up in her room longer than I expected and I was contemplating waking her up so that she would go to bed at a decent time that night. My eyes went to her crib and I was slightly concerned when I didn't see her there curled up with her favorite blanket. Out of the corner of my eye I saw a little blondie snuggled up on her sister's bed. She had climbed over there to look at a book that Isabelle had left lying open and had drifted off to sleep. So precious.

Kate Turns 3

Two weeks ago we celebrated our youngest as we remembered the day she joined our family. So exciting to be three and so fun for the five of us to have a little celebration. It was completely laid back (true confession...I didn't start baking the cupcakes or wrapping the presents until after I had watched the college basketball game with my hubby that afternoon) and it was just enough and perfect for her.

So excited when she saw the gifts waiting for her.

Thanks Aunt Stephie, Uncle Ben, Cody, Ethan and Allie!! The purple one is my favorite.

Perfect gift Stevensons! She sleeps with them. :)

Not sure what this hilarious face was all about!!

Everyone loves the Automoblox!!

Great timing on this great gift Grandma and Papa!! The weather is just starting to get beautiful.
The puzzles from Grandpa and Neena are also slept with and done over and over. Thank you. :)

The hard work of putting things together begins.

Isaac wanted to build the highchair on his own.

Kate decided to "help".

Proud builder of the finished highchair.

Thank goodness it is a sturdy one!!

Yum!!

Happy Birthday Kate!! You are such a gift to our family.
